For weeks before Chanukah, the younger boys at Lubavitcher Yeshiva worked hard each evening making their own menorahs.
On the day of the Menorah Expo, the boys came in early, holding their menorahs with care, even though it was snowy and very cold outside. Sad news from Sydney made the day harder, but the talmidim did not give up. They brought their menorahs proudly, letting them shine and inspire.
Each menorah looked nice and was special in its own way. Every one shared a different Chanukah message, showing both creativity and meaning.
The menorahs were judged based on three things: how much the boys worked on their own, how creative they were, and the special message their menorah gave over.
The Menorah Expo filled the halls with light, joy, and the spirit of Chanukah.
A Day in Tomchei Temimim: A short film showcasing a Yeshiva day from a talmid’s perspective.
Tomchei Temimim is proud to present “A Day in Tomchei Temimim,” a short film that offers a genuine glimpse into the daily life of a talmid. The film follows a talmid from the moment he boards the morning bus until he returns home, capturing the warmth, learning, and chassidish atmosphere that define a day in Yeshiva. Instead of simply describing the Tomchei Temimim experience, the film shows it through the eyes of a student.
A Project of Tomchei Temimim.

This past Motzei Shabbos, Tomchei Temimim hosted its annual Father and Son Melava Malka for the younger grades. The evening served as a beautiful opening to Chodesh Kislev, setting the tone was the in-depth learning of the possuk of Torah. Following the Rebbe’s hora’ah that every child should not only know the words but also the meaning of the Yud Beis Pesukim.
Fathers and sons learned together, reflecting the theme of the Sicha: the importance of Torah being passed from generation to generation specifically through fathers and sons learning. The learning was followed by an interactive live bingo game, reviewing the Sicha in a fun and engaging way that had both children and parents participating with excitement.
Rabbi Simpson, the menahel, addressed the gathering with uplifting words and encouragement, reminding the boys and their fathers of the eternal value of limud haTorah and the joy of living a life of Torah.
One of the highlights of the program was the saying of the Yud Beis Pesukim by each class, intertwined by a special video presentation which brought the Pesukim booklet to life, helping the children connect to the meaning behind the words in a vivid and memorable way.
With spontaneous excitement, the talmidim of כתה ג׳ asked to share the newest song composed by their melamed, Rabbi Goldstein, Yearning for Hashem. The song is based on the well-known story of the Rebbe Rashab’s heartfelt cry as a child. Without any rehearsal, the boys eagerly joined together on stage and conveyed the story with raw emotion, expressing a deep yearning for Geulah.
The evening concluded with spirited Kislev niggunim performed by the כתה ג׳ choir, which turned into joyous singing and dancing. Fathers and sons joining together with excitement and simcha of Chodesh Kislev.
Rosh Chodesh Kislev, a chassidishe Yom Tov celebrated by Chassidim, came to life throughout Tomchei Temimim. From the youngest children to the bochurim, the yeshiva marked this special day of “Der Rebbe iz Gezunt” with learning, farbrengens, singing, and dancing.
In Early Head Start at both Remsen Village and Crown Street, the youngest children danced to niggunim, enjoyed a festive treat, and their joy captured the special day.

The Mechina division marked the day with powerful and inspiring farbrengens.
Thursday night, Kita Ches gathered with their Menahel, Rabbi Mendel Scharf, and reviewed Megilas Rosh Chodesh Kislev, they farbrenged about their hiskashrus to the rebbe, and took practical hachlatos.

In honor of Chof Cheshvan, the birthday of the Rebbe Rashab and the founder of Tomchei Temimim, fathers of the Mechina L’Mesivta talmidim joined their sons for a special evening of learning in the Shul of Tomchei Temimim.
Following the Rebbe’s hora’ah that on Chof Cheshvan every chossid should enter a Tomchei Temimim to learn, daven, and give tzedakah, parents came together with their children to learn in Tomchei Temimim exactly as the Rebbe requested.
The program was arranged and led by the Menahel of the Mechina L’Mesivta division, Rabbi Mendel Scharf, who opened the evening by explaining the importance of this special day and how we, as chassidim, are fulfilling the Rebbe’s hora’ah.
The evening concluded with a chassidishe farbrengen led by Rabbi Shmuel Wagner, who spoke about what it means to be a Tomim. He explained that a Tomim must see his life as something fundamentally different, a life and mission that are anything but ordinary. Tomim understands that his neshama was sent into this world to reveal Elokus, to make Hashem real in his own life and in the world around him. Being a Tomim means learning with emes, davening with kavana, and working on his hiskashrus to the Rebbe.
It was a beautiful display of Chassidishe chinuch, and a fulfillment of the Rebbe’s hora’ah.
This past week, the Mechina L’Mesivta Division of Tomchei Temimim, took part in a beautiful and uplifting “Ach Gadol – Ach Katan” program together with talmidim from the younger divisions.
The goal of this initiative was to strengthen achdus, hiskashrus, and Ahavas Yisroel through shared learning and Chassidishe connection. Each Ach Gadol from the 8th grade was paired with an Ach Katan from a younger grade, creating a warm connection between the divisions.
Together, the talmidim learned a sicha of the Rebbe on the Parsha, and discussed a Chassidishe story centered on the theme of Negel Vasser.
Following their learning, the talmidim filled out a question sheet to review what they had learned and to help internalize the messages of the Rebbe’s words. The sight of older talmidim patiently learning, explaining, and inspiring the younger talmidim was a true demonstration of the ruach of Tomchei Temimim — Chassidim helping and lifting one another higher and higher in learning and avodah.
To add to the excitement, all participants were entered into raffles for prizes, celebrating their effort, enthusiasm, and dedication to limud and achdus.
The program beautifully reflected the essence of Tomchei Temimim, where learning and Chassidishkeit go hand in hand, and every talmid learns not only from his Rebbe, but also from his fellow Chossid.
Yasher koach to Rabbi Aron and Rabbi Scharf, who oversaw this inspiring initiative, for living the Rebbe’s vision of true Chassidishe achdus “Chassidim zenen eyn mishpocho.”
Tomchei Temimim proudly announces the opening of a new Early Childcare program location in Remsen Village, marking another milestone in the Yeshiva’s ongoing expansion to meet the needs of the growing Crown Heights community.
Located in the heart of Remsen Village, the new location will provide unmatched Chassidishe Chinuch that Tomchei Temimim is known for. Over the past few years, more than 250 families, including rebbeim, teachers, and staff members, have moved into the area, expanding the greater crown heights, and creating a vibrant and thriving community.

In response to continued demand, plans are already underway for an additional two-floor expansion to the building in the coming months.
Lubavitcher Yeshiva extends its heartfelt thank you to the Remsen Village community, particularly the members of Congregation Bais Avrohom Yitzchok for their warm support and partnership.
A special appreciation is also given to Yeled V’Yalda for their collaboration in bringing this program to life. In particular to Mr. Motti Hershkowitz, Mr. Naftali Solomon, Mr. Mordechai Schwartz, Mr. Zvi Pinter, and Mrs. Rochel Abelsky for their dedication and guidance throughout this project.
