Your family may qualify for child care assistance if your income falls below 85% of the State Median Income and you have an approved reason for seeking child care.

Approved Reasons for Care:

• You work 10+ hours per week
• You are in an educational or vocational training program
• You have been looking for work
• You live in temporary housing (priority access)
• You are attending services for domestic violence
• You are receiving treatment for substance abuse

Eligibility is based on family size, residency, income, and reason for care. Verification is required with documentation.

What is Head Start?

Head Start programs provide full-day, year-round early childhood education for children aged three to four. They include health screenings, nutritious meals, and family support services.

Who is Eligible?

• Families with incomes at or below the federal poverty guidelines
• Families living in temporary housing
• Families receiving HRA Cash Assistance, SNAP, or SSI
• Children in foster care
